Tine weeding rakes quickly and efficiently remove thread-stage weeds. They are ideal for cultivating, breaking up soil crust, and cleaning debris. Draw the rake directly over established crops as soon as the crop is mature enough to withstand the mechanical disturbance of the top 1⁄2 inch of soil. The tine weeder will effectively uproot the tiny thread stage weeds, while leaving your crop and your drip irrigation unharmed. Cultivate once or twice a week over established crops for weed-free beds. Choose from two models: the Flex Tine Weeders and the Tine Harrow. The Flex Tine Weeders are a good choice for both young and established crops. Larger sizes are excellent for weeding multiple rows of a high-density seeding, while the narrower models are useful for working between more mature crops. The Tine Harrow has a more aggressive action than the Flex Tine Weeder; it is great for cultivation in heavy soil and with crops (like onions) that do not form a canopy.
