Extra-large, avg. 5–6" long x 3 1/2–4" wide, premium-quality fruit that are much more flavorful than a typical blocky bell. Lamuyos are quite popular in southern Europe and have been increasing in popularity in California, where they are enjoyed for their striking appearance and excellent eating quality. Sturdy plant with good leaf cover to protect fruits from sunscald. Frodo is quick to turn red for its type, and so is suitable for the open field and unheated tunnels in regions with warm and moderate climates. In northern areas we recommend growing Frodo in tunnels, where it will mature sooner and yield much better than when grown in the open field. We recommend staking the plants for best fruit quality.
